Today, Pakistan faces many challenges, one of which lies in the hugely untrained and under-developed workforce and the outdated skill-set of graduates undertaking professional education as well. This is largely due to the disconnect between the industry and academia. Therefore at NBS the BBA curriculum has been updated to better suit the desired skill set requirements of the industry and to achieve better alignment with the overall university’s and the school’s mission and vision.

Unique Features

The main features of the BBA curriculum include greater exposure of students with courses in the areas of humanities and social sciences which is in line with the global trends at the undergrad level, enhancing flexibility and choice for students in selecting the business elective courses and widening the pool of business electives. The courses in humanities and social sciences have been increased in an attemptto broaden the intellect and knowledge base of students by exposing them to subjects like Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, International Relations and History to name a few.

Program Objectives And Outcomes

The objectives of the BBA programme are to inculcate in students:

  • A baccalaureate-level knowledge of business administration

  • Understanding of the macroeconomic environment, of state of industries and of the functional areas of different types of organizations.

  • The ability to identify, formulate, and solve business problems using appropriate methodologies and tools (quantitative as well as qualitative).

  • The ability to communicate and perform effectively in teams

  • An appreciation of professional and ethical responsibilities
